Job summary

Nebraska Methodist Health System in Omaha is seeking a dedicated Nursing Assistant to support patients with personal hygiene, mobility, comfort, and daily living activities during night shifts (24 or 36 hours per week, 6:45pm–7:15am). You’ll help create a safe, compassionate environment for diverse patients.

The role emphasizes teamwork, accurate documentation in Cerner or paper worksheets, attentive patient communication, and prompt response to call lights, with opportunities for tuition

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required/preferred.
• Completion of first clinical rotation as Nursing Assistant or equivalent experience preferred.
• Current BLS certification preferred or required within 3 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care and assist with hygiene, mobility, and comfort.
• Document data accurately and timely in patient records.
• Respond to patient needs promptly and maintain safety.
• Communicate with health care team and participate in shifts.
