Job summary

Saint Francis Healthcare System in Missouri is seeking a Nurse Assistant to perform direct and indirect patient care tasks as delegated by licensed staff. You will assist with bathing, hygiene, feeding, hydration, ambulation, and positioning while supporting patient safety and satisfaction.

You will communicate with the care team and provide care appropriate to the patient’s age. Typical hours include night shift from 7pm to 7am, with weekend options.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Successful completion of an unlicensed assistive personnel curriculum meeting minimum training standards or documented experience as a Nursing Assistant, EMT, ER Tech or Surgical Tech in past 3 years.
• BLS Certification is required.
• Previous hospital or nursing home experience preferred.
• Previous computer experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care tasks such as bathing, hygiene, feeding, nutrition, and hydration.
• Perform regular patient rounds on the nursing unit and communicate with team members.
• Assist with elimination and toileting and ambulation/positioning as delegated.
• Provide age-appropriate care and document appropriately.
