Qualifications

• Complete and pass the Patient Access training course.
• Work in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
• Perform basic mathematical calculations.
• Be detail oriented, organized, team player, and demonstrate strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of medical and insurance terminology preferred.
• Experience with computer applications and EMR systems; accurate typing.
• Knowledge of HIPAA, AHCA, EMTALA, and Medicare guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Obtain and verify demographic and insurance information; authorizations/referrals/notifications.
• Schedule patient appointments and procedures (initial, follow-up, add-ons).
• Work in a call center type environment and meet quality metrics (productivity, accuracy, CS QA).
• Coordinate patient flow and timely processing; stay informed on pricing and financial assistance options.
• Support Baptist Health South Florida Revenue Cycle operations.
