Job summary

Sweeping Corporation of America (SCA) is seeking an Overnight Parking Lot Sweeper Lead for our Richmond, VA location on the 3rd shift. This full-time role emphasizes safe, efficient operations and serves as the primary liaison for the crew and clients.

You will oversee nightly routes, coordinate team communications, handle escalations, and mentor Parking Lot Sweepers to ensure high-quality service and strong safety practices across assigned properties.

Qualifications

• Education: High School or GED.
• Experience: 1 year DOT driving experience –3 years DOT driving experience preferred.
• License: Driver’s License
• Age: Must be at least 21 years of age
• Compliance: Must pass MVR check, background check, DOT physical, and drug screening in accordance with Company policy and applicable law.

Responsibilities

• Safety & Inspection: Perform required pre-trip and post-trip inspections of equipment in accordance with company standards.
• Execution: Review assigned routes thoroughly prior to departure. Be proactive in asking clarifying questions if the route or expectations are unclear.
• Complete assigned jobs within the allotted timeframe while maintaining expected quality and attention to detail.
• Operate equipment safely and efficiently at all times, following all traffic laws, company safety procedures, and site-specific protocols.
• Handle materials safely and securely; Apply correct procedures for material types and disposal sites.
• Report any equipment issues, malfunctions, near misses, crashes, or injuries within 30 minutes or as soon as safely possible.
• Immediately elevate opportunities, work issues, or safety concerns to management.
• Maintain a professional attitude and appearance while representing the company on job sites or in public areas.
• Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and clients when needed.
• Accurately complete required logs, manifests, and forms.
• Respond appropriately to changes and challenges; identify and solve issues timely.
• The ability to consistently report to work on time and as scheduled, with minimal unexcused absences.
