Job summary

Antech Diagnostics, part of Mars Science & Diagnostics, seeks a Parasitology Laboratory Technician I in Orlando. You will prepare samples, set up instruments, run tests, and read/release results in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements include a high school diploma; science degree or veterinary technician experience is preferred. The role involves learning SOPs and working with lab instruments, with opportunities for growth in a dynamic veterinary diagnostics company.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Science degree or vet tech experience preferred.
• Lab experience setting up, running, and reading tests preferred.
• Knowledge of lab terminology and quality control procedures; ability to work with lab instruments.

Responsibilities

• Sets up, runs, reads, and releases lab tests.
• Meet all minimum department requirements for Para and Giardia reading/releasing rates.
• Exhibits judgment in evaluating and reporting results.
• Performs equipment maintenance and follows SOPs including safety procedures.
• Maintains a clean, organized work area and restocks supplies.
• May cross-train to perform other duties and assist senior staff.
