Job summary

Sierra Nevada Brewing Co. in Mills River, NC is hiring a Packaging Operator Mechanic 1-3rd Shift to operate, clean, inspect, lubricate, changeover and maintain packaging equipment.

You will respond to issues, participate in shift carryovers, and work with Quality, Maintenance and Warehouse teams to meet daily targets. The role requires 1 year in production or mechanical setting, plus technical studies in packaging science or related fields; PLC familiarity and hand tools skills.

Qualifications

• 1 year of production, industrial, or mechanical experience.
• Technical studies or training in packaging science, mechanical systems, engineering, mechatronics, machining, or electronics.

Responsibilities

• Operates, cleans, inspects, lubricates, changeovers, and maintains packaging equipment.
• Responds to equipment issues and supports maintenance and quality teams.
• Participates in shift carryover meetings and training others on processes.
• Reads and follows SOPs, P&IDs, and equipment documentation.
• Identifies improvements for SOPs, PMs, and best practices.
