Job summary

Sierra Nevada Brewing Co. in Mills River, NC, is seeking a Packaging Operator Mechanic to operate, maintain, and troubleshoot high-speed packaging lines on the 2nd shift. You will work with Quality, Maintenance and Warehouse teams to meet daily production goals while upholding food-safety standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in a production, industrial, or mechanical setting.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

• Willingness to learn quickly and read technical material.
• Familiarity with PLCs or automated control systems.
• Understanding of brewery processes and high-speed packaging lines.
• Proficiency with hand tools.

Responsibilities

• Operate, clean, inspect, lubricate, and changeover packaging equipment.
• Respond to equipment issues and perform maintenance tasks.
• Participate in shift carryover meetings and support training.
• Read and understand P&IDs, SOPs, and technical drawings.
• Collaborate across departments to meet production needs.
• Support SOP development and teach processes to teammates.
