Job summary

Michael Foods, Inc. in Gaylord, MN, is hiring a Packaging Machine Operator to ensure high quality product packaging around the clock. You will maintain tray packers, video jet, shrink-wrap and set up equipment for production runs.

Responsibilities include sanitation, GMP compliance, accurate readings, and contributing to food safety and quality. Shift is 6:00pm–6:00am, 12-hour nights, with a pay range of $21.93 to $27.54 per hour.

Qualifications

• Reading and interpreting safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedures.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to speak effectively before groups, customers/vendors or employees.
• Basic computer knowledge and skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintains all tray packers and ensures proper operations (loading trays, maintaining proper glue volume).
• Maintains video jet to ensure proper cleaning, adequate liquid, and legible coding/printing.
• Monitors shrink-wrap machine and adds film as required.
• Fill in for other Packaging machine operator for breaks and vacations.
• Monitor date on master shipper for legibility and corrective actions.
