Job summary

PepsiCo in Frankfort, IN is seeking a packaging line operator for night shifts to run and monitor multiple packaging machines, ensuring proper dating, weights, and bagging. This role requires lifting up to 50 lbs, standing for long periods, and working Tue–Sat from 11:00 PM to 7:30 AM with weekend coverage.

You will perform basic quality checks, maintain a clean work area, and handle routine machine maintenance. On-the-job training is provided, with full-time hours and health benefits.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Able to work weekends/holidays/off shift.
• 1 year machine operator experience in a high-speed manufacturing environment.
• Able to lift 50 lbs from floor to waist.
• Basic math and English literacy.
• Able to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Able to climb, bend, reach, stoop, kneel, and stretch for extended periods.
• Able to work at heights using ladders or lifts.

Responsibilities

• Set-up and operate multiple packaging machines to ensure accurate codes, weights, and bags.
• Check that products are dated and sealed with minimal waste.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area for all product.
• Perform basic preventative maintenance on packaging machines (e.g., cleaning or changing parts).
• Wear protective gear when using chemicals to clean and sanitize lines during changeovers.
• Inspect conveyors and scales prior to line start-ups and changeovers.
• Troubleshoot commonplace problems and make operational adjustments.
