Job summary

Ferguson is seeking 3rd Shift Order Pickers for our Fort Payne, AL distribution center. This role requires safe operation of powered industrial equipment and accurate handling of inbound/outbound shipments using RF scanners and voice systems.

Experience in warehouse, shipping, or receiving is preferred. You must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for long periods, and work overtime as needed in a fast-paced environment. Benefits and a path for growth are provided by Ferguson.

Qualifications

• Prior warehouse, distribution, shipping, or receiving experience preferred.
• Ability to work overtime including extended hours as needed based on business demands.
• Experience operating powered industrial equipment (stand‑up forklifts, reach trucks, order selectors, dock stockers) preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand/walk for extended periods, and work at heights up to 30 feet.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate powered industrial equipment in accordance with OSHA guidelines and Ferguson safety procedures.
• Ensure inbound shipments are received and registered correctly.
• Accurately sort, stage, store, and transport product to assigned locations.
• Perform daily tasks using RF scanners, voice systems, and/or labor management systems.
• Build, wrap, label, and organize pallets, containers, and materials to maintain inventory integrity.
• Maintain product accuracy, quality, and safety at all times while following SOPs.
