Job summary

Ferguson Enterprises, LLC in Fort Payne, AL is seeking a 2nd shift Order Selector to join our regional Distribution Center. The role targets individuals with warehouse or shipping experience and emphasizes safe, accurate, and dependable work. Schedule: Mon-Fri, 3:00 PM–11:30 PM with start pay at $21/hour.

Qualifications

• Prior warehouse, distribution, shipping, or receiving experience preferred.
• Experience operating powered industrial equipment (stand‑up forklifts, reach trucks, order selectors, dock stockers) preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods.
• Comfort with RF scanners or voice systems.
• Must maintain attendance and safety compliance.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate powered industrial equipment per OSHA guidelines and Ferguson safety procedures.
• Ensure inbound shipments are received and registered correctly.
• Accurately sort, stage, store, and transport product to assigned locations.
• Perform daily tasks using RF scanners, voice systems, and/or labor management systems.
• Build, wrap, label, and organize pallets, containers, and materials to maintain inventory integrity.
• Maintain product accuracy, quality, and safety at all times while following all established standard operating procedures for assigned task areas.
• Communicate effectively with team members and support a team‑oriented work environment.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace, participating in ongoing housekeeping efforts.
• Adhere to all safety requirements, including proper use of PPE and fall‑protection equipment when required.
• Participate in team meetings and communicate concerns or improvement opportunities to management.
• Comply with all company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support operational needs.
• Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a pre‑employment drug screening and background check.
