Job summary

ABB Optical Group in Kentucky is seeking a Lab Technician/Warehouse Associate for Monday–Friday 8:30pm–5:00am to process products in the lab and support warehouse operations.

The role involves measuring frames, packaging, scanning, boxing for shipment, and operating finishing tools with attention to safety and quality. Overtime may be required, and a comprehensive benefits package is mentioned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Entry-level: No specific prior work experience required; training provided to enable employees to perform the minimum essential functions identified by their respective lab/department
• Proficient: Minimum six (6) months of optical manufacturing experience in same or similar position prior to skills assessment to determine ability to perform all applicable essential functions identified by their respective lab/department
• Ability to follow procedure and contribute as an individual and a team member

Responsibilities

• Process frames and lenses per job tickets and locate items in trays.
• Invoice, package finished jobs, and scan into proper customer boxes for shipping.
• Sort and receive frames into system and place in appropriate trays.
• Operate finishing equipment and maintain tools.
• Mount and align finished lenses in frames and edge lenses as required.
• Unload and inspect lenses, and perform AR coating operations as needed.
• Follow safety guidelines and maintain a clean, organized work area.
• Work overtime as business needs dictate.
