Job summary

ABB Optical Group is seeking a Lab Technician/Warehouse Associate for a Monday-Friday 8:00am-6:30pm shift in Kentucky. The role includes handling frames, lenses, finishing, tinting, quality checks, and packaging finished products for shipment.

Candidates should be 18+, have a HS diploma, and be able to work in a manufacturing environment with safety adherence. Responsibilities include operating tracing and finishing equipment, maintaining tool readiness, and supporting production metrics.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required for full-time employment.
• Entry-level: No specific prior work experience required; training provided to enable employees to perform the minimum essential functions.
• Proficient: Minimum six (6) months of optical manufacturing experience in same or similar position prior to skills assessment.
• Ability to follow procedure and contribute as an individual and a team member.

Responsibilities

• Use tracing machine to measure frames and prepare paperwork.
• Invoice and package finished jobs; scan and bin for shipping.
• Sort and receive frames; place in correct trays.
• Secure lenses and operate finishing equipment; align and edge lenses.
• Tint lenses to specified color and adjust tint Axis as needed.
• Inspect lenses for defects and perform cosmetic inspection.
• Maintain clean work area and follow safety guidelines.
• Work overtime as needed and participate in meetings.
• Work daily toward meeting production expectations; follow SOPs; participate in team meetings; maintain clean work area.
• Report defects, participate in discussions to improve environment; ensure safe handling to minimize injuries.
