Job summary

Feed Energy is hiring for a production/plant operator in Des Moines, IA. The role requires working a 6 PM–6 AM 2-2-3 shift, starting at $21.00 per hour with a $1.60 shift differential and quarterly bonuses. You will follow procedures, run equipment, monitor quality, and keep logs while supporting safety and housekeeping duties.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to operate computer systems including Outlook, PIMS, Word and Excel.
• Able to read/write English and perform basic math.

Responsibilities

• Follows standard operating procedures during daily operations.
• Inspects safety equipment and maintains safety standards.
• Prepares machinery for operation and keeps logs.
• Operates valves and pumps to move products between tanks.
• Monitors temperatures and pH and processing times.
• Maintains product quality and samples as required.
• Unloads/loads trailers and rail cars; spots trailers with shag tractor.
• Performs housekeeping and demonstrates company values.
• All other duties as assigned.
