Job summary

Mainspring Energy is seeking an Operations Support Specialist to monitor system alerts, respond to issues, and execute defined troubleshooting actions. The role requires comfort with technical systems and the ability to work independently during overnight and weekend shifts.

You may fill open shifts, support vacation coverage, and adapt to changing operational demands. A 4×10 schedule with two block options is offered, including overnight hours in PST/PDT.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
• Experience in operations, dispatch or customer support.
• Basic technical aptitude; dashboards or similar systems a plus.
• Overnight shift experience advantageous but not required.
• Familiarity with troubleshooting hardware and software systems.
• Ability to follow detailed instructions and processes.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and execution focus.
• Attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to provide flexible shift coverage for vacations or absences.

Responsibilities

• Learn and understand novel electro‑mechanical hardware systems and operations.
• Monitor system alerts during overnight shifts.
• Follow established troubleshooting protocols to address issues.
• Execute problem‑solving actions based on flowcharts.
• Restart hardware and escalate issues to senior staff as needed.
• Maintain detailed logs of alerts and actions taken.
• Ensure issues are resolved timely or escalated properly.
• Provide weekend and flexible shift coverage as needed.
