Job summary

McKesson is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead large-scale distribution center operations during evening and overnight shifts. You will drive outbound performance, safety, cost efficiency, and team engagement in a high‑volume, automated warehouse, leading managers and frontline supervisors to ensure on‑time order fulfillment.

This on‑site role targets leaders with deep distribution experience who thrive in fast‑paced, 24/7 environments and enjoy building high‑performing teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience leading outbound or warehouse operations in a high‑volume distribution center.
• Proven success managing large, multi‑shift teams (200+ employees preferred).
• Experience with automated warehouse systems, LMS, and WMS.
• Strong knowledge of KPIs, Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement.
• Financial and data analysis skills, including labor forecasting and cost management.
• Demonstrated ability to lead change and develop future leaders.
• Strong communication, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead outbound operations across multiple shifts in a high‑volume distribution center.
• Manage, coach, and develop managers, supervisors, and frontline teams.
• Drive performance against throughput, labor efficiency, cost, and customer service KPIs.
• Partner with cross‑functional teams to ensure seamless execution.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives for process optimization and waste reduction.
• Analyze operational and financial data to identify trends and risks.
• Foster a safety‑first, inclusive culture aligned with company values.
• Support workforce planning, staffing strategies, and succession development.
• Ensure safety, regulatory, and company policy compliance in a 24/7 environment.
