Job summary

McKesson is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead large-scale distribution center operations during evening and overnight shifts. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience leading outbound or warehouse operations in a high‑volume distribution center.
• Proven success managing large, multi‑shift teams (200+ employees preferred).
• Experience with automated warehouse systems, LMS, and WMS.
• Strong knowledge of KPIs, Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement.
• Financial and data analysis skills, including labor forecasting and cost management.
• Demonstrated ability to lead change and develop future leaders.
• Strong communication, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills.

What You’ll Do (Responsibilities)

• Lead outbound operations across multiple shifts in a high‑volume distribution center, with accountability for service levels, productivity, quality, and safety
• Manage, coach, and develop managers, supervisors, and frontline teams to achieve operational and engagement goals
• Drive performance against key operational metrics, including throughput, labor efficiency, cost, and customer service
• Partner with cross‑functional teams (transportation, inventory, engineering, safety, HR) to ensure seamless execution
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on process optimization, automation effectiveness, and waste reduction
• Analyze operational and financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement
• Foster a safety‑first, inclusive, and accountable culture aligned with company values
• Support workforce planning, staffing strategies, and succession development
• Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and company policies in a 24/7 distribution environment

• Demonstrated ability to lead change, improve engagement, and develop future leaders
• Strong communication, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills in fast‑paced environments
• Proficiency with MS Office and Google Suite strongly preferred

Work Environment, Schedule & Physical Requirements

• On‑site role in a distribution center environment
• Evening and overnight schedule; flexibility required based on business needs in a 24/7 operation
• Ability to walk, stand, and move throughout a warehouse environment for extended periods
• Ability to use standard office equipment and technology, including laptops and mobile devices

$81,200 - $135,400
