Job summary

General Mills Operations, LLC. is seeking an Operations Team Leader for the 11pm–7am shift. You will lead the shift, build strong relationships, drive continuous improvement, and ensure safe, quality production.

You will champion safety and food safety, coach the team, and own daily performance metrics across safety, quality, cost, and engagement. This role requires fostering learning and capability building within a 3rd-shift environment.

Qualifications

• 1 year manufacturing or frontline leadership experience.
• Demonstrated leadership and working in a highly collaborative environment.
• Success in driving results through process and teamwork.
• Proven success reducing losses and improving performance in a manufacturing setting.
• Foundational knowledge of data analysis systems (e.g., SAP, Maximo, Manufacturing Analytics, MQIS) and decision making for results.

Responsibilities

• Lead safety and human safety through Safety 2.0 leadership principles and standards.
• Cultivate a safety culture that reduces risk to people and communities.
• Cultivate a food safety culture that ensures compliant, safe food production.
• Demonstrate Engaging Leader behaviors and people leadership.
• Develop strategies to maximize shift team effectiveness and communication.
• Set clear priorities and team goals to deliver platform priorities.
• Foster a positive team environment to support engagement and retention.
• Identify skill gaps and develop training plans for the shift team.
• Analyze manufacturing data to inform decisions and improve performance.
• Back-up coverage to ensure business continuity.
