Job summary

Linde Advanced Material Technologies Inc. in Indianapolis, IN is seeking an Operations Supervisor to lead a night-shift production team, drive safety, quality and delivery, and ensure staffing and equipment readiness.

You will apply Lean methods, supervise multi-shift teams, coach staff, and partner with HR to address performance and engagement while sustaining cost and productivity improvements.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of manufacturing experience with supervisory/leadership responsibilities.
• Experience in aerospace/defense or precision manufacturing is preferred.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams to meet safety, quality, and delivery goals.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary front-line leader for an assigned production area, providing visible shop-floor leadership, clear direction, and employee support across onboarding, training, development, performance management, and offboarding.
• Lead daily operations to achieve safety, quality, delivery, cost, productivity, and people objectives while ensuring production schedules, customer commitments, and operational targets are met.
• Coordinate staffing, work assignments, overtime, equipment utilization, and material availability to support daily and weekly production requirements.
• Drive daily management systems through tier meetings, visual management, standard work, and performance reviews; monitor safety, schedule attainment, throughput, productivity, and OEE.
• Develop and execute recovery plans to address performance gaps, quality concerns, equipment downtime, staffing shortages, or other constraints that could impact production.
• Ensure compliance with environmental, health, safety requirements, quality standards, process specifications, and company procedures.
• Coach, develop, and hold employees accountable for performance, attendance, behaviors, and company expectations; partner with HR on employee relations.
• Lead talent development and continuous improvement through Lean, root cause analysis, and collaboration with Quality, Engineering, and Maintenance.
