Job summary

SunOpta in Modesto, CA is seeking an operator for filling machines to ensure quality and efficiency, reduce scrap, and follow GMP procedures. You will monitor yields, assist with audits, and work with the maintenance team to keep line performance high.

The role requires standing for long hours, lifting up to 50 pounds, and working a 6pm–6:30am night shift on a 2-2-3 pattern with a $2 shift differential. Training and safety policies are emphasized.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Basic math and numerical accuracy are essential.
• Ability to read and interpret SOPs and GMP guidelines.
• Strong teamwork and reliability in a production setting.

Responsibilities

• Operate filling machines and related equipment to maximize quality and efficiency.
• Maintain clean, organized work area and stock materials for next shift.
• Perform routine maintenance and coordinate with Maintenance for repairs.
• Relieve other team members for breaks as needed.
• Conduct weight, sterility, and package integrity checks.
