Job summary

Kraft Heinz in Cedar Rapids is seeking an OnPack Operator for the 3rd shift (10:30pm-7:00am). This hourly manufacturing role involves running on-pack machines, QA checks, and ensuring safety and quality throughout the shift. The Cedar Rapids plant features multiple lines and a 3-shift operation.

Responsibilities include operating and assembling on-pack equipment, documenting times, temps and weights, and adhering to food safety policies. Strong teamwork and safety awareness are required.

• Must ensure quality products are being packaged.
• Responsible for following all Food Safety Policies and Safety Procedures.
• Employees will follow all safety protocols and perform their job responsibilities in a safe manner.

Responsibilities

• Operate Onpack machines, must be familiar with settings for all varieties of products.
• Assemble on-pack machine, including X-Rays
• Sanitize conveyer buckets
• Hook up pipes to the kettles
• Name, code, and date product
• Monitor accurate temperature
• Return/Retrieve preweigh carts from prep/blanch
• Documentation of times, temps, and weights
• Accurately document required information into IQS
• Challenge metal detector and X-Ray
• Change film
• Other duties as assigned
