Job summary

Northwestern Medicine seeks a Registered Nurse for Medical Oncology on the 4A unit, 7pm-7:30am nights with rotating shifts. In this inpatient role you will provide chemotherapy, symptom management, palliative care, and coordinate care with an engaged multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Current State of Illinois Registered Professional Nurse.
• ADN acceptable with commitment to obtain a BSN within three years.
• BLS certification included.
• Strong interpersonal, collaboration and analytical abilities.
• Oncology experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collects and analyzes data, designs care plans, and evaluates progress.
• Directs care and delegates tasks to nursing staff as needed.
• Collaborates with patients, families, physicians and ancillary staff.
• Participates in governance, committees, and unit projects.
• Documents patient responses and updates care plans accordingly.
• Applies best available evidence to guide nursing practices.
