Job summary

RRD is seeking an experienced offset press operator in Durham, North Carolina. This role involves setting up, operating, and maintaining single or multi-color offset press, ensuring production meets quality specifications through necessary adjustments and maintenance tasks.

The ideal candidate should have a solid understanding of offset printing procedures and must be able to work the night shift, from 6:45 PM to 7:00 AM. Competitive hourly compensation is offered with overtime potential and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of offset printing procedures, materials, equipment and safety requirements.
• Skill to read and understand job specifications to determine press set-up materials.
• Sufficient knowledge of press capabilities for efficient operation.
• Ability to determine packing pressure for proper printing.
• Skill in using a micrometer for aligning printing plates.
• Competence in routine maintenance and minor repairs of equipment.
• Ability to adjust feeder and feed board settings.

Responsibilities

• Set up, adjust, operate, and maintain offset press.
• Perform make-ready tasks and examine plates for imperfections.
• Make necessary color corrections and press adjustments.
• Perform periodic maintenance as recommended by the manufacturer.
