Qualifications

• Thorough knowledge of offset printing procedures and safety requirements.
• Ability to read and understand job specifications and determine appropriate press usage.
• Skill to set precise controls, settings, and perform routine equipment maintenance.
• Knowledge of routine operational maintenance and minor repairs to press equipment.
• Skill in using a micrometer to mount and align printing plates correctly.

Responsibilities

• Set up, adjust, operate, and maintain press equipment.
• Perform all make-ready tasks such as hanging plates or installing cylinders and checking image alignment.
• Make color corrections and adjustments prior to production to meet quality specifications.
• Clean, lubricate, and maintain the press, performing minor repairs as needed.
• Train other RRD employees as needed.
