Job summary

Wayne-Sanderson Farms in Union Springs, AL is hiring for an Offal Department Technician on a night shift. Responsibilities include operation, maintenance, sanitation and housekeeping of the offal process, using PPE and adhering to company policies and regulatory guidelines.

The role requires hands-on mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, ability to perform PMs, load trailers to the correct weight, coordinate with drivers, and assist wastewater activities.

Qualifications

• Fluency in the English language (written and verbal).
• Pass NOCTI Mechanical/Electrical test, Level 1 required
• Basic understanding and the ability to follow Environmental regulations
• Basic understanding and the ability to follow OSHA regulations
• Must be able to work weekends and extended shifts.
• Ability to read and write English.

Responsibilities

• Must complete work orders and PMs as assigned.
• Maintain sanitation and housekeeping of the offal department.
• Load offal trailers to the correct weight and ensure proper drainage.
• Coordinate with rendering truck drivers for load scheduling.
• Assist wastewater operators in various activities.
• Perform basic mechanical repairs or installation work.
• Monitor department water usage and environmental parameters.
• Repair pumps, motors, gearboxes, and augers as needed.
