Job summary

Wayne-Sanderson Farms in Georgia is seeking a hands-on Operations Technician to oversee offal screening, DAF, sludge dewatering, and chemical mixing. You will follow safety policies, wear PPE, and ensure compliance with NCC Animal Welfare guidelines and all applicable laws.

Daily duties include monitoring pumps and irrigation components, driving a jockey truck for trailer movement, performing cleanup, and coordinating with third-party drivers.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience with pumps, valves, and irrigation systems.
• Ability to drive a tractor with a valid GA driver license.
• Must be able to work nights, weekends, and extended shifts.
• Strong mechanical knowledge and problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and operate offal equipment and machinery.
• Drive jockey truck to move trailers and tankers.
• Monitor wastewater equipment and chemical feed systems.
• Perform cleanup and housekeeping in assigned areas.
• Coordinate pick-up/delivery times with third-party drivers.
• Follow Safety & Environmental Manager directions.
