Job summary

Wayne-Sanderson Farms is hiring for an offal screening and utility role in Union Springs, AL. The position involves operating offal equipment, managing wastewater systems, and ensuring compliance with NCC Animal Welfare Guidelines and company policies.

Shift runs 1:00 PM to 9:30 PM with a $25.65 hourly wage plus a $3,000 sign-on/stay bonus. Responsibilities include monitoring machinery, moving trailers, coordinating with third-party drivers, and maintaining cleanliness and safety in the work

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience with pumps and irrigation systems.
• Ability to work unsupervised and meet safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and operate offal equipment and machinery (e.g., tumble screens, augers, pumps).
• Observe trailer and tanker fill levels and coordinate movements.
• Drive jockey truck to move trailers and tankers.
• Monitor wastewater equipment and chemicals.
• Perform cleaning and housekeeping in assigned areas.
• Coordinate with third-party drivers for pickups/deliveries.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Safety & Environmental Manager.
