Job summary

AdventHealth in Tampa, FL is seeking a Surgical Tech to support operating room procedures. Responsibilities include preparing sterile supplies, assisting staff during surgeries, and ensuring sterile technique throughout procedures.

The role requires CST certifications and at least 1 year of scrub experience in a multi-disciplinary surgical service, with night shifts and on-call expectations. Candidates must meet education requirements and demonstrate proficiency in English, teamwork, and patient

Qualifications

• Interpersonal skills required to interact with team members and patients.
• Knowledge of sterile technique, instrumentation, equipment and sterile field setup.
• Proficiency in English language.
• One year scrub experience in a multidisciplinary surgical service preferred.
• Certification and training as required by CST programs.

Responsibilities

• Prepares sterile dressings and instruments for terminal sterilization.
• Assists with terminal cleaning of the room and prepping for the next patient.
• Handles surgical specimens with accuracy.
• Recognizes and responds to emergencies promptly.
• Maintains sterile technique during procedures.
• Sets up instruments, supplies, equipment, and medications for procedures.
