Job summary

AdventHealth Shawnee Mission is hiring for a part-time Patient Care Technician position. The role supports licensed nurses by delivering direct patient care and performing vital sign checks in a fast-paced hospital environment.

You'll work night shifts in Kansas, with responsibilities aligned to policy and procedures, PPE usage, infection control, and safety standards. A state CNA license is preferred, with CPR/BLS required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ PCT experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists in the delivery of patient care by performing tasks under the direction of a licensed nurse.
• Accurately performs vital signs and documents in the electronic medical record.
• Documents and reports all procedures accurately and in accordance with department policy.
• Performs duties and patient care according to policy and procedure.
• Functions appropriately within scope in clinical emergencies.
• Participate in practice changes resulting from performance improvement activities and supports quality standards and initiatives.
• Follows CDC isolation guidelines, demonstrates appropriate use of PPE, performs hand hygiene according to policy, and enforces safety regulations.
