Job summary

Atlantic Health Morristown Medical Center in Morristown, NJ, is seeking a dedicated Nursing Assistant for full-time night shift (7 pm–7 am) in Med-Surg, Geriatric & Renal. You will support nursing staff with direct patient care, assist with daily activities, and help transport patients.

The ideal candidate has a High School diploma or GED; BLS certification and CNA credentials are preferred. Acute care experience is valued.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Prior experience in acute care strongly preferred.
• BLS certification preferred.
• Certified Nursing Assistant preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support nursing staff with direct patient care.
• Serve and distribute food trays; provide nourishment between meals.
• Change bed linen, run errands, and sterilize treatment trays and supplies.
• Transport patients within the facility for consultations, treatments, tests, or examinations.
• Measure and record patients' vital signs and provide basic care.
• Ensure a safe care environment for patients and families.
• Perform continuous rounds and check-ins to meet patient needs.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
