Job summary

Select Medical Rehabilitation Hospital at Lutheran in Fort Wayne, IN is seeking a Nursing Assistant for PRN/Per Diem night shifts. This role supports inpatient rehabilitation for brain injuries, spinal injuries, and other conditions, providing essential care and assisting with daily activities.

The position offers a $19.00 per hour base pay with shift differentials for nights and weekends and a comprehensive orientation program to help you transition smoothly into the role.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent work experience (3+ years).
• Hospital experience as a nursing assistant or CNA certification, or related field experience.
• BLS certification required within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Obtain vital signs, height, weight and demographic data.
• Assist patients with personal and daily care such as bathing and oral hygiene.
• Deliver meals and assist with feeding and document intake.
• Turn and position immobile patients safely and assist in mobility programs.
• Transport patients to treatment areas as needed.
