Job summary

Kettering Health Network is seeking a Nursing Assistant for night shifts at our Dayton facility. The role focuses on assisting patients with daily living activities and performing delegated nursing tasks within the Ohio Board of Nursing scope.

The position requires KH Nursing Assistant orientation, CPR/BLS certification, and either prior hospital/long-term care experience, recent Nursing Assistant coursework, current nursing student status, or current KH employment.

Qualifications

• Applicants Must Have:
• Successful completion of KH Nursing Assistant orientation
• Certification in CPR/BLS
• Must have one of the following: Six months experience as a nursing assistant in a hospital or a long-term care facility; Completion of Nursing Assistant course in the last six months; Nursing student or pre-nursing listed on transcripts; Current employee with Kettering Health

Responsibilities

• The Nursing Assistant serves as a member of our interdisciplinary patient care team.
• Supports patients with activities of daily living and performs patient care skills as delegated by the licensed nurse within the Ohio Board of Nursing Scope of Practice.
• Maintains and demonstrates knowledge, skill, and ability of the delegated tasks.
• Supports department operational needs, and performs other duties as assigned.
• Reports to the Clinical Nurse Manager.
