Job summary

Independence Health System in North Butler, PA, is seeking a Nursing Assistant for a Full Time 36 hours/week night shift (6:00 PM–6:30 AM). You will assist in patient care on the 6 Main unit and help maintain safe, efficient unit operations and customer service.

Preferred candidates are enrolled or have completed a nursing assistant training program; Healthcare Provider CPR is required. You will safely access, transport, and handle medications and sharps in accordance with policy.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Nursing assistant training program preferred.
• Healthcare Provider CPR certification required or preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in safe care of patients on the 6 Main unit.
• Support safe and efficient unit operations and customer service on the unit.
• Assist in changing patient from portable O2 to wall O2.
• Safely access, transport and handle medications (prescription and non-prescription).
• Safely access, transport and handle sharps (needles, suture kits, lancets, syringes).
