The role requires a California RN license, a BSN, and strong nursing leadership with at least five years in acute care; ACLS and BLS are mandatory, with NIHSS preferred.

Qualifikationen

• 5 years of active nursing practice in acute care.
• 2 years nursing management preferred.
• Prior nursing leadership required.
• Current California RN License required.
• BSN required; MSN not required.
• BLS and ACLS Certification required.
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification preferred.

Aufgaben

• Directs patient placement and nurse staffing for the hospital.
• Directs on-duty Central Staffing Office staff and Float Unit Staff.
• Responds to hospital emergencies and initiates codes when necessary.
• Acts as Chief Nursing Officer/Incident Commander during codes until relieved.
• Collaborates with hospital directors to enforce policies and ensure appropriate care levels.
• Handles added responsibilities such as staff coaching and quality improvement activities.
