Novant Health is hiring a Certified Nursing Assistant for General Med/Surg on the night shift (7pm–7am) at the NH New Hanover Regional Medical Center in Wilmington, NC. The role emphasizes compassionate patient care, teamwork, and ongoing professional growth within a supportive hospital environment.

You will work with a team focused on safety, documentation, and quality care, contributing to a calm atmosphere for patients and families while adhering to regulatory requirements.

Formación

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of experience in Assisted Living facilities or long-term care
• Completion of NAI program required
• Listed with the nurse aide registry as an NA I required
• Medication Safety - AME required
• NC state approved curricula for restrictive interventions within 3 months of hire for Emergency Departments and Behavioral Health units required

Responsabilidades

• Deliver high‑quality, patient‑centered care by supporting activities of daily living and promoting comfort and dignity during each patient’s stay.
• Collaborate with nurses and providers, share observations, support care plans, and help the team stay aligned in a fast-paced environment.
• Assist with mobility, ambulation, repositioning, and fall-prevention practices to help patients progress safely.
• Document vitals and patient status accurately and timely to support clinical decisions.
• Foster a calm, supportive environment for patients and families, providing reassurance and setting expectations.
• Assist Living units: help residents with activities of daily living and report changes to the Charge Nurse.
