Job summary

Advocate Health operates a 7-bed Level III NICU in Monroe, NC. This full-time role covers 3 x 12-hour shifts weekly (7pm–7am) with 36 hours per week, providing specialized neonatal care for infants born at 28 weeks gestation and above.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year NICU experience, holds an RN license, BLS, and a BSN is preferred. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, maintain documentation, and ensure safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Board of Nursing approved nursing education program.
• Active RN license with privileges to practice in the state.
• BLS certification required.
• At least 1 year NICU experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Engages in unit councils and quality initiatives to improve care.
• Uses the nursing process to assess, plan, diagnose, implement and evaluate care.
• Monitors patient conditions and adjusts care plans as needed.
• Maintains safe, ethical patient care and documentation in the EHR.
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary team and delegates appropriately.
• Pursues ongoing professional development and maintains required certifications.
