Job summary

Aurora Pavilion Behavioral Health Services, part of Aiken Regional Medical Centers in Aiken, SC, seeks an Assessment Coordinator (MA/MSW) for a full-time, 12-hour night shift. The role centers on mental health assessments, admissions coordination, and collaborating with psychiatrists to determine level of care.

You will work within a multidisciplinary team, perform pre-certifications and utilization reviews, maintain documentation, and build strong referral relationships while supporting

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Counseling or related field; state license preferred.
• RN encouraged to apply.
• Minimum one year experience in mental health assessments.

Responsibilities

• Assess mental health status and determine level of care.
• Coordinate admissions and referrals with internal/external providers.
• Conduct telephonic assessments for callers.
• Document in the electronic medical record.
• Complete pre-certifications and utilization reviews.
• Maintain department records and statistics.
• Participate in patient safety activities.
• Other duties as assigned.
