Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking an MRI Technologist to produce diagnostic MRI images, manage imaging parameters, and ensure patient safety. You will coordinate with physicians and nursing staff to achieve high-quality scans while maintaining strict infection control and documentation standards.

Responsibilities include image post-processing, contrast administration as per protocol, and daily clerical tasks in EMR/PACS.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Certificate or degree from an accredited Radiography or MRI program.
• ARRT MR or ARMRIT certification must be obtained within 9 months of joining.

Responsibilities

• Reviews chart/physician order to determine imaging parameters.
• Selects imaging coil and performs MRI scans with proper protocols.
• Administers contrast media per MRI dept protocols and ensures patient safety.
• Documents data in EMR/PACS and performs post-processing to optimize images.
• Ensures MRI safety and handles on-call shifts and weekend coverage.
