Job summary

Nebraska Methodist Health System is seeking a compassionate Mother Baby Registered Nurse to join our night shift team at Methodist Women’s Hospital in Omaha, NE. You will care for postpartum mothers and their newborns in a family-centered environment.

Requirements include at least 1 year of hospital-based Mother Baby experience and a BSN/MSN (or ADN with transition within 5 years). Shift is 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM with rotating weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or Master’s in Nursing (MSN) from an accredited program; or ADN with transition within 5 years from date of hire.
• Minimum 1 year of hospital-based Mother Baby nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide age-appropriate nursing care to postpartum mothers and newborns.
• Perform initial and ongoing nursing assessments and develop individualized care plans.
• Coordinate with physicians and other clinicians to ensure safe, high-quality patient care.
• Deliver patient and family education regarding newborn care and maternal health needs.
