Job summary

Merit Medical is seeking a Molding Operator Lead to oversee daily molding operations on the night shift. Responsibilities include training, startup verifications, and ensuring equipment readiness and GMP compliance on the molding floor.

You will coordinate tasks, provide feedback, and assess part conformance to determine startup or shutdown decisions, while maintaining documentation and efficient operations.

Qualifications

• Education equivalent to a high school diploma.
• Five years of related work experience.
• Two years in molding and one year in leadership preferred.
• Ability to read and understand written instructions.
• Ability to follow oral instructions.
• Strong manual dexterity and fine motor skills.
• Effective communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily activities of Molding Operators and provide feedback.
• Lead training on procedures, startup inspections, and Molding Orientation.
• Ensure materials, tooling, documentation, and measurement equipment are ready.
• Complete and file all necessary documentation accurately.
• Complete line clearance, startup dimensions, and hourly inspections.
• Communicate with operators, technicians, leads, and management.
• Ensure GMP compliance and conformance to procedures.
• Provide performance feedback and assign tasks.
• May give direction in supervisor's absence.
• Support supervisor performance evaluations.
• Judge mold parts conformance and decide start/shutdown.
• Perform related duties as required.
