Job summary

Lumentum in Greensboro, NC is seeking a MOCVD Maintenance Technician to perform routine and corrective maintenance on MOCVD reactors used in semiconductor epitaxy. You will ensure equipment operates safely and reliably to support high-volume production.

The role requires hands-on work with mechanical, electrical, gas delivery, and vacuum systems in a cleanroom, plus documentation, safety, and shift/on-call responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience maintaining complex equipment (semiconductor tools, industrial machinery, vacuum systems, etc.).
• Ability to read schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Comfort working in a cleanroom with full gowning and PPE procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on MOCVD reactors.
• Support chamber cleans, rebuilds, calibrations, and system resets.
• Respond to production tool-down events and restore operation quickly.
• Maintain accurate maintenance logs and follow safety procedures.
