Job summary

nLIGHT, Inc. seeks a MOCVD Technician to operate and maintain MOCVD reactors and assessment tools, ensuring material quality per specifications at our Vancouver, Washington location.

The role supports efficient wafer processing, cleanroom handling, and coordination with engineers and senior technicians. Shift options are available, with strong emphasis on safety, accuracy, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in engineering, physics, materials, or chemistry is preferred.
• Experience in semiconductor environments is desirable.
• Strong attention to safety, accuracy and reading technical instructions.

Responsibilities

• Supports operation of MOCVD wafer processes for high-power semiconductor lasers.
• Maintains workspaces and tools using 5S principles.
• Performs maintenance and documents procedures; handles chemicals and hazardous waste.
• Assists engineers with troubleshooting and preventive maintenance.
• Monitors manufacturing processes via SPC and helps improve processes.
