Wellstar Spalding is seeking a full-time Medical Laboratory Technician to join the night shift. The role involves performing tests with limited scope under supervision, maintaining QA standards, and reporting results accurately while integrating clinical data to support patient care.
Required education is an Associate's degree in Medical Technology with applicable certifications upon hire and at least one year of laboratory experience preferred.

Night (United States of America)
This role, under the general supervision of the Supervisor, Manager or Laboratory Director, permits the Medical Laboratory Technician to perform tests requiring limited skill and responsibility and exercise independent judgment minimally, as competency is demonstrated. Accuracy: Maintains acceptable accuracy in-patient, quality assurance, proficiency and competency testing. Critical Thinking: Uses clinical/theoretical knowledge to analyze, investigate, interpret and report lab data. Job Knowledge: Maintains current personal training, education and practice of policies and procedures. Productivity: Practices organizational skills for efficient of time, materials, cost and availability of lab data. Communication: Practices information monitoring, investigation, resolution and hand-off to team members. Performs other duties as assigned.
Associates Medical Technology
All certifications are required upon hire unless otherwise stated.
For persons who possess the technician qualifications and have recently moved into the state or completed the academic and/or training requirements, they may be temporarily classified once as technicians
Minimum 1 year Laboratory experience preferred.
