Job summary

Medlinkhealth Anesthesia Associates is seeking a Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) to perform laboratory testing and analysis supporting diagnosis, treatment, and disease prevention. The MLS will follow established quality control, accreditation, and safety standards while conducting chemical analyses and cellular assessments.

The role requires 2+ years MLS experience, blood bank experience, and ASCP and BLS certifications.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years MLS experience.
• Blood bank experience required.
• ASCP certification required.
• BLS certification required.
• Travel experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform chemical analyses of blood, urine, spinal fluid, and other body fluids.
• Analyze and identify blood cells using microscopic techniques.
• Perform blood typing, grouping, and compatibility testing for transfusions.
• Operate, calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment.
• Maintain laboratory supplies and inventory.
• Prepare and document laboratory reports and test results.
• Follow QA/QI, infection control, and safety standards.
• Identify problems and implement appropriate solutions.
• Maintain a clean and safe laboratory environment.
