Job summary

Quanex is seeking a Mixer Operator to join the QCM team in Cambridge, Ohio. The successful candidate will mix and process compounds through the mixer within specifications and operate related equipment safely and efficiently.

Candidates should have 1-2 years of manufacturing experience, a strong mechanical aptitude, and attention to detail. The role offers a team-oriented environment, benefits, and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• Necessity for attention to detail.
• Operate assigned machinery and equipment safely and efficiently
• Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions
• This job requires the operator to lift bags, weighing a maximum of 55 lbs. out of a transfer wagon and stage them on the charge conveyor three to five feet away.
• The operator will need to manually adjust the location of the bale on the conveyor. The position requires repetitive motion sweeping and scarping the mixer. Requires the operator to communicate with the additional staff member.
• Responsible for operation of the Mixer, Skid unloader, Bale Cutter, Weigh Conveyor and Charge conveyor.
• Following production schedule and maintaining pace as outlined in mixing procedures.
• Assist in establishing and maintaining compound processing procedures.
