Job summary

Ardent Mills in Saginaw, TX is seeking a Milling Technician (3rd Shift) to ensure timely production of flour and optimize mill equipment settings to meet customer specifications.

You will adjust and operate cleaning house and milling equipment, monitor processes and perform basic maintenance, while collaborating with cross‑functional teams to support projects and uphold safety and sanitation standards.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years experience in an industrial environment (milling, agricultural, food production or equivalent).
• Basic skills with computer applications, including Microsoft Office Suite, and ability to learn and use new computer programs.
• Demonstrated mechanical understanding and intermediate troubleshooting ability.
• Understanding of safety behaviors within production environment.

Responsibilities

• Maximize milling efficiencies daily by focusing on adjustment and operation of cleaning house and mill equipment.
• Monitor the entire milling process and perform basic equipment maintenance and troubleshooting tasks for all equipment related to the operation of the mill.
• Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned including working on plant teams, providing input on capital projects, and center lining.
• Maintain sanitation standards, in accordance with policies, to provide a safe and food‑safe work environment.
• Maintain all tools and equipment and execute processes in the 5S, Pristine AMPS standards using process tools such as CenterLine and 5‑why to create continuous improvement by determining root cause and corrective actions.
• Use computers to operate mill equipment and document production reports, shift reports, including mill and maintenance issues.
• Interact with scheduler, elevator, blender, quality team, maintenance and packer to communicate workflow, milling schedule and equipment issues.
