Job summary

Henderson Products Inc. in Manchester, IA is seeking a dedicated welder to join our night-shift team. You will set up and operate MIG welders, read blueprints, and maintain quality on a tight production schedule.

As part of our manufacturing crew, you will work four 9-hour days with overtime on Fridays. We offer PTO, holidays, a 401(k) plan, and opportunities for professional welding growth on diverse heavy-duty projects.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 6 months experience and/or associates degree or certification.
• Adheres to all health and safety rules and maintains good housekeeping 5S.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, adjust, and regulate welding machines.
• Weld parts using the GMAW (MIG) welding process.
• Monitor and control weld variables to meet size/quality standards.
• Produce quality weldments to meet daily production needs.
• Use blueprints, drawings, and work instructions to manufacture quality products.
• Identify gauges and types of steel.
• Operate hand/power tools, grinders, torches, and plasma equipment.
• Apply basic shop math to complete tasks.
• Read and interpret welding symbols to complete assignments.
• Collaborate with team members to hit production goals.
• Communicate with co-workers and supervisors clearly and professionally.
• Maintain 5S and housekeeping standards.
• Follow all safety policies and environmental procedures.
• Support scrap reduction and quality improvement initiatives.
• Work overtime as needed to meet production demands.
• Set welding machines and troubleshoot weld quality.
