Job summary

Whitfield Regional Hospital, part of the UAB Health System, is hiring registered nurses for full-time night shifts (7:00 PM–7:00 AM) across various units in Demopolis, Alabama.

Candidates with MICU or Med-Surg experience are encouraged, but not required; CPR/BLS certification and Alabama RN license in good standing are mandatory.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in good standing with the Alabama Board of Nursing.
• BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association within 30 days of hire.
• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing.
• RN with 2 years of prior experience preferred but not required.
• Full-time schedule (2,000 hours)

Responsibilities

• Provide age-appropriate patient care and ensure safety during shifts.
• Assess, report, and document patient conditions and needs.
• Maintain accurate MARs, monitor medications, and notify physicians as needed.
• Collaborate with the care team to deliver quality patient care.
• Label IV lines with date changes and uphold aseptic technique.
• Deliver detailed handoffs to the oncoming shift.
• Adhere to hospital policies and participate in compliance reporting.

RN license in Alabama

Diploma in nursing

BLS Provider credential (AHA)
