Job summary

C&S Wholesale Grocers, LLC in Windsor Locks, CT is seeking a Material Handling Equipment (MHE) Technician to repair and maintain electric and propane lift trucks, pallet jacks, scissor lifts, and cherry pickers. You’ll follow manuals and use hand tools, power tools, and knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems.

This is a 3rd shift role, Wednesday–Saturday, 8:00 PM–6:30 AM, with compensation starting at $22–$26 per hour.

Qualifications

• Experience maintaining and repairing MHE per manufacturer guidelines.
• Familiarity with PMs, oil changes, calibration and lubrication.
• Ability to interpret schematics and manuals.
• 1-2 years of logging work orders and PMs is a plus.
• Experience with Crown, Raymond or Toyota equipment is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Manage repair of the MHE, including monitoring, troubleshooting, repairs and preventative maintenance.
• Conduct PMs within manufacturers' guidelines and timelines including lubrication and inspections.
• Log time and materials into the CMMS.
• Interpret plans, schematics and operating manuals.
• Assist battery technicians with battery charger repairs and related tasks.
• Support building and refrigeration maintenance teams as needed.
