Job summary

LiveWell Homecare Agency, LLC in Windsor Locks, CT seeks a skilled Material Handling Equipment Technician to repair and maintain electric and propane lift trucks, pallet jacks, scissor lifts, and cherry pickers. You will use manuals and tools and apply knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems.

The role requires 1-2 years of relevant experience, a high school diploma, and a commitment to safety.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of mechanical systems (transmissions, brakes, motors, steering).
• Working knowledge of AC/DC electrical systems and PLC controls.
• Experience with hydraulic schematics and components.
• 1-2 years of relevant experience, especially with material handling equipment or automotive mechanics.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Manage repairs including troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and monitoring of MHE.
• Perform preventive maintenance following manufacturer guidelines, such as oil/filter changes, calibrations, and inspections.
• Log work and materials into computerized systems.
• Interpret plans, schematics, and manuals for repairs.
• Assist battery technicians with battery and charger repairs, watering, and spill cleanup.
• Support building and refrigeration maintenance activities, including electrical troubleshooting and repairs.
